It is a trailblazing year for women, yet for every glass ceiling shattered, we have seen women face unprecedented struggles in their lives and the pandemic brought many women's professional lives to a halt.
During a recent dinner table conversation, my daughter shared astounding facts about how challenging it STILL is for women – especially mothers – to gain meaningful employment. So this year as we think about Mother's Day, we wanted to kick off another Month of Giving that will directly help women who are looking to get into the workforce and we would love your help to get the message out!
For the month of May, 10% of retail sales on our website will go directly to Grace Institute, whose mission is to empower low-income women in the New York area to achieve employment and economic self-sufficiency.
Grace Institute is one of only a few workforce development programs in NYC focused solely on women, and is unique in its commitment of training for administrative jobs that provide opportunities for advancement. Grace Institute’s employer-driven workforce training programs help women develop the professional skills employers have identified as being needed by today’s administrative and customer service professionals.
