I hand-drew the leaf pattern from some beautiful stems from the garden and had it re-created in abaca by artists in the Philippines. Abaca is a straw-like textile made from the fronds of Filipino palm trees. It's lightweight, durable, and sustainable ... perfect for brunches on the patio or by the pool! The most perfect summer straw placemat!

Made of 100% Abaca
15" diameter
Set of four
Each mat is handwoven, irregularities are expected and loved!

Spot clean with a dry brush, do not submerge in water

NOT SO TRADITIONAL HOME

We were thrilled when the editors of Traditional Home popped in for lunch at my home in Connecticut, Foxglove Meadow. This quote sums up why I do what I do!

“It’s been such a joy to have a garden. There’s something about connecting with the changing seasons and the natural elements in life. During fall and winter, I love bringing the garden inside and onto the table. There’s always something new, and tomorrow is another day. It never gets old.”
