Have you ever gotten one of those calls where you didn't have to even think twice about immediately saying yes to something? Well, I got one of those a few months ago from my team about working with the ultra-fabulous Margaret Josephs from Real Housewives of New Jersey fame! Her peeps called my peeps and asked if we could help style Margaret's recently renovated home for its big reveal to all of her fans and BravoTV family and we dropped everything to make it happen! I am an unabashed super fan of the Real Housewives shows so this afternoon was truly a career highlight for me!
The first room we tackled together was what she calls The Ballroom – a fabulous entertaining space with soaring ceilings and a vintage Hollywood vibe. Our bar accessories could not have looked more at home in this stunning room. It's here I discovered Marge and I share two key style mottos: the sparklier the better and it's all about the mix! Next, we set the table for a fabulous family brunch in her amazing kitchen. It's the most gorgeous space for hanging out in – and that's exactly what we did! (I even got to meet Marge Senior – and my lips are firmly sealed on that conversation!!) Margaret had beautiful china and glassware so all she needed were the JB accessories to make the table sing.
And finally, we took on dining al fresco in her luxe outdoor dining and entertaining area. When Margaret was considering her outside space design she said, "it was important for me to bring the inside out... I want it to look almost like a living room. " I wholeheartedly agree with this concept. We set the table with festive table decor and lemon accessories and pineapple barware for all sorts of punches of colour! I could not love this colour combination more. It's nothing I would ever have thought of and it's SO much fun! Just like The Marge!
This was such an amazing afternoon with Marge. I love partnering with creative minds who have similar design tastes but totally different takes on decor as it always expands MY thought cycle and allows me to try new things. So a very big and belated thank you to all involved... this will be right up there in our all-time highlights!
